Hi Everyone! My name is Anne and I have been a "scrapper" for about 10 years now. I started my scrapbooking "career" wanting to document and capture every moment of my courtship with my husband, Jerry. But when it came time to start, I sat there staring at my blank 12 x 12 page, intimidated! So, I decided to create a card instead. Then I got hold of a rubber stamp and <gasp> some embossing powder, and it was all over after that. I was in love with that beautiful gold glitter! I then created handmade cards for my friends and family for 2 years straight - without ever making a scrapbook page! Finally, I felt confident to start my first page, and I have been a passionate scrapper ever since.
Over the years I have taken many wonderful classes, gone to quite a few conventions, and have been fortunate to meet many awesome and talented people in the business. I was a member of the The Mad Scrapper Design Team at my local Scrapbook store while living on the East Coast. I have also worked as a Scrapbook consultant for Janome, where I designed and demoed scrapbook samples for appearances on QVC as well as for trade shows such as CHA and The Great American Scrapbook Convention. I also helped to design Scrapbook classes using Janome sewing machines. I have had my work published in Legacy magazine (now called Sommerset Memories) and am currently working on an article regarding digital archiving which I hope to have published soon. I recently moved to the West Coast and am happily getting used to the beautiful Southern California weather, and meeting many new and wonderful people here. Of course I am checking out all of the local Scrapbook stores - there are more here than on the East Coast! I truly believe that everyone has a story to tell - whether it is about themsleves, their loved ones, or a family ancestor. It's NOT about creating a "perfect" scrapbook page, but about those precious memories that can be shared with your family and future generations to come. I am so blessed to have ancestors that left behind scrapbooks. It has given me a precious look at their lives and into their hearts that I would never have known otherwise. To me, Scrapbooking is an art, and an expression of your love. What could be better than that? :)
