Voice over is better together
Hey everyone, in today's video we're gonna talk about the benefits of group workouts and how it can help improve your performance. The very first thing, the most important, is that when you listen to other people read it really helps you to learn. You get to hear different choices, different emotions, things that people might say, or actions or reactions to the script that you might not have thought about when voicing the copy.
There are voice-acting workout groups everywhere. You could practically attend a different one each night. But are they worth it? The answer is yes, group classes can be very helpful when honing your VO skills.

The second benefit is that you get to hear the director's feedback. In and of itself the director's feedback is amazing to learn from but you also get to try and understand their ear what they're hearing and how they're reacting. They're privy to the latest trends and things that are out there in the industry, so you're going to benefit from all the education that they're going to tell the other participants in the class.
If you do multiple workout groups you'll get a lot of different feedback from different directors, different viewpoints, different experiences to really help improve your education.
The third reason is that it's a great way for you to network and work with others. It really is being part of a community that helps you move forward. That's actually one of the reasons why I started the VO Peeps group so check that out.
Number four, it gives you more time on the mic. More reason for you to get out there and practice. I always tell my students that they need to do something voiceover-related every single day. It really creates discipline and keeps you thinking about voicing at different times and at different performance levels. It can really keep you on target for keeping current and being relevant in the voiceover industry.
And the Fith (bonus) reason why it's great to work out with other people is that it gives you a reason to be on mic and practice. Have you ever paid for a trainer at the gym because you know it'll make you go to the gym? Well, it's the same thing with voiceover. It gives you a great reason to network with others learn from others and practice and work out and voice scripts together.
