Video content is key. Even in voice over.
I have had in the past year some experience with marketing my services via video. Video content is key. It is everywhere. And to really capitalize on your voice, acting career, and marketing yourself, I think you really have to fully consider video. And I wanna just kind of talk about my experience because, whew, I'm a busy person and I didn't think I had any time whatsoever to do video. And I thought, well, you know what? I seem to be in a good place right now. How can this even help me? Well, let me tell you, in my experience, um -- and I had to get a kick in the butt from a few people saying, go ahead, make those videos. And I thank them. They know who they are. I thank them, uh, for pushing me to do my videos. I now have a series on YouTube called Teachable Moments. I've been doing YouTube shorts for my VO BOSS podcast now, and also YouTube shorts for my Teachable Moments in just shorter format.
Voice actors have a tendency to be camera-shy. I know I was. But over the last year of making video content, I've seen amazing results!
