When you're an entrepreneur, it seems like everything can parallel your business. The new word game Wordle has some fantastic lessons you can use to help grow your VO business!

What's a 5 letter word for success?

I know. I know. So if you're like the rest of the world, you might be slightly addicted to that word game, that online word game called Wordle. Well, I really resisted for the longest time. And then finally I kind of gave in to peer pressure. I had a day where I was like, you know, I need to just do something that is not work and that can be fun. I love it. I absolutely love it. I wanna say I'm addicted. They say it's not addictive, but I love it because I come back every single day to play it.

So there are a lot of parallel things about Wordle and the development of Wordle along with your businesses that are kind of really cool. The first of which is that Wordle is based on simplicity.

So simplicity is good. Simplicity is relaxing. Simplicity is joy. And, you know, a wonderful thing to have when you don't have a lot of homework. And I think in our businesses, we can equate that to not necessarily giving homework to our clients. Right. We wanna be easily accessible. We wanna be easy to work with. We want to be uncomplicated and uncluttered. I think just like Wordle, our businesses should be simple. Simple is wonderful. Simple is easy to work with and it makes our clients wanna come back time and time and time again.

The next thing about Wordle that I really love is that it is a daily exercise or it's a daily game.

What I love about that and how it relates to my business is that my business is a daily game. Even if I am taking time off. I should always be thinking about voiceover. If I wanna be a true voiceover entrepreneur and have a true voiceover business that I'm serious about, I am thinking about voiceover, you know, five or four days a week or seven days a week, whatever it is. I am practicing or I'm auditioning on a daily basis. And I, you know, I'm really consistent in that. So a daily kind of exercise, a daily mentality of, okay, what am I gonna do to grow my business? What am I gonna do to get more clients? Think of that daily.

The other thing is that you wanna celebrate small victories.

I love the fact that when I play Wordle, I'm pretty good and I think a lot of people are, I mostly win. I can't, there were two times when I couldn't get the word for that day, I was like, wow. It's okay. Because guess what? Tomorrow's another day. I'm gonna celebrate the small victory that I won yesterday in the day before. And, you know for the four weeks I've won. That gives me joy and it gives me positive momentum to move forward in my business. Celebrating those small victories in your businesses every day will set you apart and get you moving for growth going forward because you'll have a positive mindset.

If it didn't happen today, you know what? There's a new opportunity tomorrow. So that's the last point about Wordle that I love. There's always a tomorrow.

There's a new opportunity for new clients, new jobs. If I didn't book that job or win that game, it wasn't so bad. If I failed in this little tiny way, I can now take steps to do something a little bit different and tomorrow's another day with a new opportunity. So yeah, you can Wordle your business for sure.

Thanks so much for watching guys have a great week.
